Job Title: Civil/Environmental Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team at APTIM. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing environmental site characterization and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to interpret engineering data, develop design documents, and perform detailed engineering analyses.
  • Apply engineering skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks, managing your own time to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
  • Prepare work plans, including erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans.
  • Participate in field tasks, such as collecting environmental samples and implementing in-situ and ex-situ remedial actions.
  • Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4+ years' work experience in civil and/or environmental engineering.
  • BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and on track to obtain a Professional Engineer license.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher certificate required.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management Training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, as well as other engineering software programs.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sites, and to lift and work in physical conditions.
  • Must be able to work in the field in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to frequently travel to worksites that require overnight stays.
