About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Dairy submarket for Burns & McDonnell's Food & Beverage business line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement business development, recruiting, and marketing activities for EPC services in the Dairy industry.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships in the Dairy industry.
  • Collaborate with business development managers, business line leads, project managers, and proposal production staff to secure work for the company.
  • Manage client-focused strategies and action plans to respond to client challenges and issues.
  • Develop and deliver training presentations related to proposal communications, proposal strategies, business development, and pursuit strategies.
  • Manage department budget and expenditure of funds.
  • Recruit, develop, train, and retain staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for department staff.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.
  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
  • Responsible for diversity initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • 13 years of related professional experience in marketing, business development, or sales promotion.
  • Prior experience in the Dairy and/or A/E/C industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of basic computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
