Your Role
In this unique position, you will have the opportunity to delve deeply into the internal architecture of AWS infrastructure and services to evaluate operational risks and security posture.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned technology or security expert capable of thoroughly analyzing a variety of intricate architectures, pinpointing risks, and ensuring that AWS services are designed and function securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting based on identified risks.
- Assessment scope may encompass identity and access management, key management, data security/privacy, service monitoring, release management, and service availability.
- Provide independent and objective insights to assist service teams and their partners in identifying opportunities for control enhancements to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and boost operational performance.
This role will broaden your understanding of AWS services. You should possess a diverse technical background and the capability to quickly grasp new technological concepts.

Travel Requirements
Up to 10% travel may be necessary, including international travel.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or related fields.
- Experience managing confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in program requirements definition and utilizing data and metrics to drive improvements.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
- Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
