Position Overview - Equipment Maintenance Technician

Compensation:
Up to $30 per hour (commensurate with experience)
1st shift, Monday to Friday with potential for overtime as required.

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in supporting various machinery within our lumber operations, which may include Bunk Cutters, Dust Collectors, EWP saws, and Norfield door equipment, among others.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, conducting preventative maintenance, addressing equipment breakdowns, and assisting the operations team as necessary.

The technician will undertake a range of tasks to ensure that equipment is kept in a safe and efficient working condition.

Occasional travel may be necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
~ Responding to service requests, preventative maintenance, and breakdowns.
~ Maintaining and repairing diverse equipment across our facility.
~ Accurately documenting all work performed in a timely manner.
~ Collaborating with external contractors or vendors as required.
~ Supporting maintenance inventory management.

Qualifications:


~ A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience preferred, or equivalent trade school/degree/certification.
~ Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics.
~ Willingness to travel short-term and work overtime as needed.
~ Basic experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered industrial vehicles.
~ Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
