Job Title: Payroll Manager

Tennant Company is a leading manufacturer of cleaning equipment, with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to lead our North America payroll and time and attendance systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee payroll in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and time and attendance (Workforce) for all locations in the United States and Canada (~2000 employees)
  • Coordinate with enterprise HR, Benefits, Finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory, labor, and tax guidelines
  • Approve payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to processes
  • Lead and grow a strong, motivated team
  • Develop payroll policies and best practices, contributing to standardization and continuous improvement
  • Create payroll reports, data files, and ad hoc analyses to support business needs
  • Manage external relationships with 3rd party vendors
  • Provide resources and tools for end users
  • Support and provide direction on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), (Workforce), ADP, and other payroll process systems' setup, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Act as the lead point of contact for North America payroll-related items
  • Oversee preparation and filing of quarterly/annual payroll tax forms and reconciliations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in payroll and/or time & attendance
  • Previous people leadership experience
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, including presentations
  • CPP strongly preferred
  • ECP (Employee Central Payroll) experience preferred
