Bottling Operations Supervisor

Job Overview:
The Bottling Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities of bottling lines.
Key responsibilities include managing hourly staff assigned to bottling operations, assisting support personnel, preparing essential production documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring all bottling lines adhere to quality and production specifications. This position supervises the operations of designated bottling lines to effectively meet production schedules while maintaining safety, quality, budgetary, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical guidance to operators and line personnel.
- Coordinate necessary maintenance actions to uphold production quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Bottling Manager and maintenance team to implement operational and mechanical enhancements.
- Assess production efficiency and costs; plan, organize, direct, monitor, and evaluate production on assigned lines; initiate improvements and corrective action plans.
- Establish work schedules and enforce all safety regulations and policies.
- Lead the safety program for the Bottling department by developing and executing safe practices and operating procedures to minimize workplace accidents.
- Assist in investigating environmental health and safety incidents to identify and address root causes.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety requirements and encourage co-workers to work safely.
- Report all safety concerns and incidents immediately.
- Participate in safety inspections and train assigned bottling line employees to enhance their skills and performance.
- Motivate and manage employees to produce quality products within established guidelines.
- Evaluate employee performance and identify skill improvement needs, developing plans to address these needs.
- Create a personal development plan with the Bottling Manager to enhance skills and performance.
- Strive for continuous improvement in processes, products, services, and workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices.
- Analyze and resolve product quality issues promptly to avoid rework.
- Support the New Product Development Team in creating new products within specified timelines and budgets.
- Provide input on equipment capabilities and capital expenditure needs.
- Collaborate with management to implement new initiatives, including products and packaging.
- Coordinate with other departments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Ensure defect-free products are scheduled, produced, and shipped on time to meet customer demand.
- Meet and exceed customer expectations through effective supervision of bottling lines.
- Resolve production-related challenges and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
- Monitor efficiencies, quality, and production data to enhance yields and throughput without compromising quality.
- Provide leadership to assigned bottling line teams in alignment with company culture, ensuring fair treatment and respect for all employees.
- Foster a team environment where all employees are encouraged to contribute to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Engage in initiatives to address issues identified through climate surveys, contributing to making the company a preferred workplace.

- Ensure all Bottling operations comply with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and TTB regulations, taking immediate corrective action as necessary.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the Bottling department.
Salary Range: $68,629 - $102,943 (Placement within the salary range is based on years of relevant experience.)

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Associate's degree in a business-related field is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Supervisory experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with beverage processing and associated equipment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Availability to work overtime as needed.
- Capability to work an 8-hour shift.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to read and write effectively.
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and in wet, humid conditions.
- Attention to detail is essential.
