About the Role

Alternate Perspectives, Inc. is seeking a skilled Career Counselor to join our team at one of our operated Job Corps Locations. As a Career Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping young people ages 16-24 achieve their career goals and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct personal intake assessments to identify student needs and develop strategies to meet them.
Provide individual and group counseling to students, as well as develop and implement behavioral plans.
Offer crisis intervention services, assess mental health needs, and provide additional case management services as needed.
Collaborate with the case management team to ensure students receive comprehensive support.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours of social services related instruction and one year of related experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer proficiency.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
