At Business Support Services of Salem, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized court reporter to provide verbatim reporting services for administrative hearings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating accurate transcripts of hearings and providing exceptional support to our clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in transcription and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for setting up recording equipment, gathering and distributing exhibits, and providing administrative support as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate recording equipment to ensure high-quality audio and video recordings
  • Transcribe hearings accurately and efficiently, meeting tight deadlines
  • Gather and distribute exhibits and supporting materials during hearings
  • Provide administrative support, including filing and organizing documents
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience in transcription preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Punctual and trustworthy, with reliable transportation
  • Typing speed of 60 WPM or higher
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
