The Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Human Resources Intern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Assist in maintaining confidential information and records, ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive data.
- Administrative Support: Perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including maintaining files, records, and logs, both paper and electronic.
- Data Entry and Audits: Enter data into various Human Resources systems and conduct data audits/updates as assigned.
- Event Preparation: Assist in event preparation, including New Employee Orientation, Recruiting, Wellness, and other district events as needed.
- Professional Development: Gain exposure to Human Resources-related issues, observing conversations, presentations, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
- Special Projects: Perform other job responsibilities as assigned, including drafting job postings, running reports, reviewing/analyzing confidential data, and representing TxDOT at recruiting events.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
