Job Overview

At Microbest Inc, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves a blend of engineering responsibilities both in the office and on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes that may lead to subpar or non-compliant products.
  • Process Development: Collaborate in designing efficient manufacturing processes to optimize production.
  • CNC Programming: Create and modify CNC programs using both manual coding and CAM software.
  • Inspection Methodologies: Assist in developing inspection processes and tools for new and revised manufacturing components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in activities aimed at enhancing existing processes using established Lean methodologies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues across various levels to address challenges and enhance operations.
  • Manufacturing Design: Support the design of multi-step processes that meet customer specifications and adhere to company constraints.
  • CAM Software Proficiency: Utilize SolidWorks and SURFCAM software to aid in manufacturing tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machining environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience with CNC lathes and mills.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Ability to independently manage projects to successful completion.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Okuma and Fanuc CNC controls is advantageous.
Working Conditions
  • This position involves working on a partially air-conditioned manufacturing floor and in a climate-controlled office.
  • Significant time will be spent directly interacting with machinery and shop floor personnel.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds.
