Job Description

This role involves designing, prototyping, and manufacturing new design concepts, analyzing existing product performance, and introducing product improvements as needed. The successful candidate will provide engineering support for all phases of the production process, including Operations, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments and teams to design, develop, and modify drawn and stamped metal components and their corresponding tooling, gauges, and fixtures, as well as supporting parts for production machine maintenance and repair.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time.
  • Work with customers to design and refine stamped and drawn components for manufacturability while meeting defined requirements.
  • Design tooling and components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
  • Perform under ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949, and/or ISO13485 manufacturing standards.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or equivalent engineering experience.
  • 3-5 years of design engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of cutting and forming, ability to troubleshoot by reading a progressive strip, and knowledge of the theory of cutting and forming in the stamping and deep draw process, including metalforming, drawing, and stamping, tooling, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • U.S. Person - This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR.

Physical Conditions:

  • Normal manufacturing working environment.
  • Lift, push, and/or pull 50 pounds.
  • Stand at least 95% of scheduled shift.
  • Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Some exposure to noise, dirt, chemicals, and temperature variations (while using OSHA relevant PPE).
