Position Overview:
In this role, you will be inspired daily by the donors you interact with. The high-quality plasma collected will contribute to the creation of life-saving medications. A strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence is essential. You will report directly to the Plasma Center Manager and will serve as a plasma donor screener, performing phlebotomy to facilitate center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and warmly greet our donors, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Screen both new and returning donors, recording vital signs and finger stick results accurately.
- Utilize our Donor Information System to prepare donor records, maintain precise documentation, and manage donor compensation.
- Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and implement changes to center processes following company-approved protocols.
- Be available for our donors, which may include working various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical capability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely up to 50 lbs.
- Fine motor skills, depth perception, and the ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, 90% of work tasks will require prolonged glove usage.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer or patient-facing role is preferred.
