Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to join our thriving business development team. In the past year, our team has assessed over 100 opportunities and successfully completed more than 25 transactions.

Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the team, you will report directly to the Director of M&A Analytics and collaborate with various stakeholders, including the Chief Development Officer and Regional Directors of Business Development. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing and analyzing acquisition opportunities within the veterinary sector.
  • Engaging with regional directors, practice owners, brokers, and other relevant parties.
  • Evaluating financial data from practice owners and participating in internal investment discussions.
  • Addressing inquiries and concerns, ultimately assisting in securing Letters of Intent for target practices.
  • Managing the deal pipeline and preparing weekly updates, reports, or agendas as required.
  • Conducting financial due diligence and valuation analysis for veterinary practices nationwide.
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and offering recommendations for enhancements.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should be a proactive, energetic, and team-oriented individual with a strong desire to analyze and execute M&A opportunities. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in Animal Health or multi-site healthcare, along with a background in finance or accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or corporate finance, ideally from an accounting firm or FP&A in a multi-unit healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on historical key metrics, including profitability and revenue mix.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in handling large datasets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with the team.
