Position Overview:
The Juvenile Research Analyst, operating under general oversight, is responsible for the conceptualization, execution, and evaluation of research initiatives for the Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and assess program evaluation strategies, including comprehensive data collection and analytical reporting for dissemination at professional forums.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies focused on prevention and intervention strategies for youth and their families.
  • Support the creation and management of extensive and intricate research projects, including the formulation and execution of research protocols.
  • Engage in efforts to secure research funding, which includes drafting grant applications.
  • Travel to various research locations and professional development events as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a minimum of six years of pertinent experience.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor others.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, and R, along with data management capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical, verbal communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and various governmental entities.

Preferred Experience:
At least seven years of research experience, which may encompass research conducted during graduate studies.
