Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Refinish Specialist to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our vehicle preparation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the paintwork on our vehicles meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a team of experienced technicians to prepare vehicles for sale.
  • Ensure the paintwork is finished to CarMax's high standards.
  • Perform cosmetic reconditioning tasks, including removing and replacing parts, repairing plastic and substrate damage, and maintaining special equipment.
  • Participate in training programs, including New Associate Orientation Training – Operations and Kronos Training for Hourly Associates.
  • Meet performance standards for Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II and Flow Inventory Associate II.
  • Complete certifications for Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II, and Senior Reconditioning Associate Workstation.
  • Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and associates, both in person and over the phone.

Work Environment: This role requires working in an indoor and outdoor environment, which may include noisy and inclement weather conditions. You may be required to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and 12-hour days.
