About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team at Robinson Engineering, Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects, from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop transportation projects, including roadways, utilities, and drainage systems
  • Lead and manage technical design teams, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate with municipal clients, utility districts, and state agencies to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement traffic analysis and traffic signal design plans
  • Review and approve design plans, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation engineering
  • Active PE license in the state of Illinois
  • Experience designing roadways for municipalities, counties, and IDOT
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word and Excel
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
