Pavestone LLC, a division of The QUIKRETE Companies, LLC, recognized as a leading manufacturer of packaged cement and concrete products, is seeking a dedicated Safety and Quality Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a production setting, with a strong background in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with all quality control protocols as outlined in the Pavestone PQP manual.
  • Maintain organized and accurate logs and documentation related to quality control processes.
  • Analyze quality data for both finished goods and raw materials, reporting trends to management and taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide training to staff on procedures when specifications are not met.
  • Oversee quality control efforts conducted by team members.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning correctly and that lab conditions meet established standards.
  • Identify non-conforming products for review and decision-making by management.
  • Retain samples as required by the Pavestone PQP Manual or as directed.

Safety Oversight

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Pavestone's Safety and Health program.
  • Conduct training and onboarding for new employees regarding safety protocols.
  • Engage in monthly safety training sessions and specialized task training.
  • Collaborate with management on environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Participate actively in the company safety committee.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective measures.
  • Perform regular site assessments to ensure safety standards are upheld.
  • Act as a safety mentor and resource for all personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety is preferred, but relevant practical experience will be considered.
  • Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
