Our client, a well-established company in the fitness and lifestyle sector, is in search of a Senior Vice President of Marketing to take on a pivotal role within their organization. This is a direct-hire opportunity based in Carlsbad, CA, and the selected candidate will be expected to work on-site four days per week. Local candidates are preferred, but relocation may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize research and data analytics to develop, implement, and assess both strategic and tactical marketing and public relations initiatives.
  • Identify and leverage revenue opportunities within franchise networks and customer demographics to drive growth through acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies.
  • Direct corporate communication efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and brand integrity across all platforms.
  • Manage public relations activities to enhance the brand's image and foster positive media relations.
  • Oversee both short-term and long-term scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to align with corporate objectives.
  • Establish and manage the annual marketing budget, optimizing resource distribution to maximize return on investment.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and third-party relationships to bolster marketing efforts.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of strategies and support overarching business goals.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the Executive Team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape to guide marketing strategies and foster innovation.
  • Transform industry insights into actionable strategies to maintain a leading position in the fitness industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in brand and digital marketing.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role with team management responsibilities.
  • Experience in the fitness industry, franchise business, or relevant franchisee experience is advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of effective budget management.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in content management systems, design software, and social media platforms.
