Job Title: Part-time Faculty, Music Business/Management Department

The Music Business/Management Department at Berklee College of Music is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach business courses in Design Thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship.



Responsibilities:


  • Teach a variety of business courses in Design Thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship
  • Hold office hours and advise students in their academic progress
  • Participate in department meetings and other department-sponsored events as needed
  • Maintain and cultivate professional relationships with the music industry
  • Work with the department to review, revise, and develop the Music Business/Management program and curriculum
  • Advance the student experience and the work of the Department, the Division, and the College
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in an Arts, legal, or business field preferred
  • Teaching experience required; college or university preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Design Thinking, Human Centered Design, and other innovation methodologies
  • Demonstrated record of professional experience in business, entrepreneurship, and innovation
  • Strong command of technology to support and advance the work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access
  • Student-centric perspective with a strong commitment to creativity and implementation
