Job Overview

Position Summary: The Field Service Engineer at B&D Resources Corp plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of complex hydraulic machinery and systems. This position primarily operates from our central facility, with a significant portion of time dedicated to on-site visits across various client locations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, outstanding analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver services mainly from the central facility, with periodic field assignments.
  • Oversee in-house repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of machinery.
  • Identify mechanical issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Generate comprehensive and timely service documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to all company protocols and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical service or warehouse environment.
  • Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair technical equipment.
  • Proficient in English and familiar with computer applications.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including weekends.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in the food processing and packaging sector is a plus.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of service experience in a technical or related field.
Soft Skills:
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with various computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Capacity to exert up to 50 pounds of force regularly.
  • Proficient in using hands for grasping and handling objects.
  • Compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending required.
