The Construction Field Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our teams are effectively planning their tasks by adhering to the Work Activity Plan process while promoting Edkraemer's core values of QUALITY, SAFETY, and EXCELLENCE.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading efforts to implement Edkraemer's Safety Program, ensuring the secure execution of construction activities and safeguarding our personnel.
  • Integrating Quality into all operations through diligent planning, project documentation control, including submittals, RFIs, and compliance records, as well as thorough field quality inspections.
  • Assisting in the overall management of construction operations by coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, suppliers, and/or Edkraemer self-performed work, providing oversight, addressing construction challenges, and supporting engineering design and execution.
  • Actively contributing to the financial health of projects by measuring and tracking quantities, understanding and documenting project expenditures, and preparing and analyzing cost reports to ensure ongoing success.
  • Supporting foremen and superintendents with various construction activities, including layout of construction elements, providing elevation and grade control, crew oversight, and troubleshooting.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with project owners, inspectors, and stakeholders by upholding Edkraemer's Core Values and effectively communicating to resolve issues.
  • Participating in Edkraemer University courses to enhance skills and knowledge in essential competencies for career advancement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in heavy civil construction is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • A genuine passion for safety and construction.
  • Experience with construction software is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AGTEK/Auto CAD is preferred.

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $80,000; base salary is contingent upon various factors including education, experience, skills, market rates, internal equity, and location.
