Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Imaging Services is responsible for creating an optimal operational framework that guarantees high-quality patient care. This role entails overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and management of patient care delivery within the Imaging Services Department. The Senior Manager will ensure the seamless 24-hour operation of Imaging Services, with a focus on leadership, budget formulation, and comprehensive fiscal oversight, as well as staffing and departmental organization. This position exemplifies proactive and collaborative relationships across all hospital functions, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. The Senior Manager will also be tasked with developing programs, policies, procedures, and care standards to meet patient needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulates and oversees the Imaging Services Department, ensuring that policies, procedures, and care standards are uniformly applied.
  • Maintains a professional and positive organizational image, consistently recognizing staff contributions and promoting educational and developmental opportunities.
  • Provides strong leadership and supervises departmental staff, understanding the scope of practice and utilizing authority to address challenges proactively.
  • Creates and implements an annual operational budget and capital budget to align with the organization's financial objectives.
  • Ensures a safe working environment by enforcing adherence to all regulatory standards, including JCAHO, Title 22 and 17, as well as hospital and departmental policies.
  • Leads and guides all practices related to Radiation Safety.
  • Collaborates with physician staff to enhance quality, efficiency, and program development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare or Management-related field.
  • Master's Degree in a Healthcare or Management-related field is preferred.
  • Upon hire: RT (Registered), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Tech Certified (NMTCB) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning skills.
  • Experience in developing and managing operational capital equipment budgets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physician staff to enhance quality and program development.
  • Knowledge of maximizing the use of all imaging modalities for the benefit of the medical community.
  • Awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential to advance Imaging Services.
  • Excellent project management skills for capital and program development.
  • Familiarity with PACS and other Radiology Information Systems.
