Job Title: Territory Office Manager

Unum is seeking a highly skilled Territory Office Manager to join our team in Cleveland. As a key member of our Territory Core Team, you will play a critical role in the management of the Territory Office, interacting with customers, sales representatives, and other Territory Core Team members.

The successful candidate will have expertise in managing daily office operations, providing direct support to the Territory Sales Manager, and leveraging office systems and procedures to drive business growth. This role requires independent judgment, discretion, excellent communication and organizational skills, critical and creative thinking, and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office operations, including maintenance, administration, mailing, shipping, supply and equipment management
  • Partner with the Territory Sales Manager and Territory Core Team members on the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of office and territory strategies and procedures
  • Create and manage the weekly territory schedule
  • Determine the technological and equipment needs of the Territory Office and collaborate with Enterprise partners to fulfill those needs
  • Schedule and participate in conference calls with key business partners
  • Drive the planning and implementation of Territory Launch Day events
  • Partner with the Territory Sales Manager to ensure that office financial objectives are met and budget parameters adhered to
  • Serve as a system expert on various internal sales management systems and advise others on the use of these systems
  • Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data and marketing materials housed in the Territory Office
  • Collaborate with territory, regional, and Home Office business partners to ensure that business is conducted in a smooth and efficient manner
  • Partner with other Core Team members to accomplish territory recruiting and prospecting goals

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or higher with three or more years of experience as an Office Manager or Administrator
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other software systems to support office various office operations/communications
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential matters
