Role Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be an integral member of a dedicated accounting team, responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting Duties:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses for balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring proper documentation and consolidation.
  • Reconcile various accounts, including renewable energy credits and financial instruments related to wind and solar initiatives.
  • Support the external audit process by delivering accurate and reliable information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to guarantee precise financial reporting.

Financial Operations:

  • Generate essential operational and financial analyses, offering insights into run rates, forecasts, and discrepancies.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial and operational assessments.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, internal controls, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strong accounting controls and documentation to mitigate risks.
  • Examine and communicate complex accounting requirements related to renewable energy, particularly focusing on tax-equity accounting.
  • Engage in budgeting and tax equity partnership reporting.

Commercial and Transactional Support:

  • Collaborate with M&A, commercial, and asset management teams to facilitate transactions and key business decisions.
  • Assist in the integration of newly acquired entities.
  • Provide financial and analytical insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Foster strong cross-departmental relationships to advance company objectives.
