Phlebotomy Specialist

PathGroup is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in a professional and courteous manner. You will interact with clients, patients, and other PathGroup personnel to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Interact with clients, patients, and other PathGroup personnel to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures according to established procedures
- Properly label, centrifuge, and store specimens for transport
- Communicate with clients to confirm orders and obtain accurate billing information
- Research test/client information using lab computer system
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
- Perform basic clerical duties, including filing, faxing, and preparing mail
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Phlebotomist Certification preferred (required in Louisiana)
- Prior job-related experience preferred
