Customer Experience Specialist

About this role
As a Customer Specialist at CarMax, you will be empowered to deliver an exceptional customer experience by acting as a guide and providing support throughout the car-buying and selling process. You will work closely with teams across the organization to ensure each customer has a positive experience, leveraging CarMax's values of honesty and transparency to drive success.
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by guiding customers through the car-buying and selling process
- Conduct vehicle condition assessments and communicate information to Buyers for customer appraisals
- Manage vehicle inventory, including checking in and receiving vehicles, and performing daily scanning and reconciliation
- Perform cosmetic inspections to ensure vehicles meet CarMax Quality Standards
- Complete various administrative duties, including printing daily reports, maintaining transaction paperwork, and contacting finance companies
- Create service appointments and review repair order invoices for retail service work performed
Requirements and qualifications
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Display confidence in self, the product, and CarMax
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues

- Balance customer needs with business requirements when making decisions

- Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment
- Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
- Lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
