Job Overview

The role of the Production Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence within our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the establishment of a safe, ergonomic, and environmentally compliant workplace adhering to all applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the planning, organization, and management of daily operations across various production cells.
  • Assess and enhance the performance and efficiency of production processes and personnel, including monitoring attendance and productivity.
  • Ensure the execution of production schedules and cost management to fulfill customer requirements and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct workforce planning and forecasting to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Provide training, coaching, and motivation to production staff to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Regularly evaluate area layouts and flow management for optimal efficiency.
  • Identify capital needs and manage overhead expenses effectively.
  • Guarantee adherence to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Propose and implement enhancements and innovations to production methodologies.
  • Lead small teams in problem-solving initiatives and lean kaizen events.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting; experience in medical devices or nuclear medicine is highly advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience is essential.
  • An advanced degree and relevant technical expertise are strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles with a proven ability to apply Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in operations management with a solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and materials is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork with a focus on accountability are required.
  • Ability to adapt and remain resilient in response to changing production demands and challenges.
  • Exhibit flexibility, self-direction, and discipline in planning and achieving objectives while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset, a proactive attitude towards problem-solving, and be a collaborative team player with a positive demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with MRP systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities along with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during weekdays and weekends as required to support manufacturing operations.

Physical Requirements:

In this role, the employee will frequently need to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling tasks. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted is necessary, and the employee may need to sit or stand for up to 8 hours uninterrupted. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
