About the Job

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician II to join our team at EMCOR Group. As a key member of our facilities services team, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial properties and ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  • Install, move, and repair all related HVAC equipment, including refrigerant piping and lubricating fans, motors, and linkages.
  • Monitor and adjust refrigerant, heat exchangers, and HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on base building and critical system equipment, including assembling tools and supplies and completing task sheets.
  • Follow safety practices and utilize personal protective equipment as required by OSHA.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and completion of formal training programs on HVAC operations.
  • At least six years of related experience and a Universal Refrigeration License.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.

  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email.
  • Reasoning ability, including defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Mathematical ability, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
  • Initiative ability, including identifying tasks and completing them before being asked.
  • Work ethics, including maintaining a flexible schedule, producing quality work, and observing safety and health rules.
Work Environment

Work in an environment where steel toe shoes, hearing protection, noise protection, hardhat, eye protection, and hand protection are required. Abide by OSHA guidelines, including lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines.

Hours of work are solely defined and governed by business volume and contract schedules.

Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of customers and subordinates.
