Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician II will be provided with a company vehicle and necessary tools to travel to multiple customer sites for the maintenance of commercial properties. The role requires daily travel and may involve servicing a single location for extended periods. Responsibilities include maintaining tools and ordering supplies as needed for installations and repairs.

This position demands a commitment to providing exceptional service at customer locations, ensuring safety and professionalism. The technician will conduct preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot, and service commercial and industrial HVAC systems, while understanding control operations and sequences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform efficient maintenance of HVACR equipment according to established standards, including reading and comprehending schematics and manuals.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems while monitoring operations and recording necessary readings.
  • Check refrigerant system efficiency, operate recovery equipment, and maintain all related HVAC equipment.
  • Analyze system operations, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption and immediate cleanup of work areas.
  • Adhere to safety practices and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  • Assist colleagues with major repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring effective communication with clients regarding service requests.
  • Additional skills may include electrical work, such as wiring motors and maintaining electrical controls.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with formal training in HVAC operations.
  • A minimum of six years of related experience is required, along with a Universal Refrigeration License and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

Physical Demands:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and handling of tools. The technician must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions.

Work Environment:

Employees will work in settings that require safety equipment, including steel-toed shoes and hearing protection. Compliance with OSHA guidelines is mandatory.
