Position Title: Senior Buyer
Role Summary:
The Senior Buyer is tasked with leading a team of procurement professionals responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service contracts and subcontractors for facility maintenance on a national scale. This role will report directly to the Senior Category Manager - Interior Procurement and will collaborate closely with Account Managers and Operations as part of project management teams. Key responsibilities include managing service providers for high-profile accounts, overseeing sourcing initiatives, delegating responsibilities, ensuring compliance with processes, meeting deadlines, and achieving budgetary objectives, as well as negotiating and reviewing contracts to enhance operational efficiencies and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs the planning, execution, follow-up, and communication for all sourcing projects and initiatives. Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure deadlines and budgetary goals are met.
- Collaborates with Operations and Account Management to identify suitable contractors, ensuring all locations have appropriate service provider contracts. Negotiate terms and rates with strategic partners and oversee these processes within the team. Foster relationships internally and externally, participating in cross-functional meetings and coaching sessions with service providers. Build a network of preferred vendors.
- Manage, implement, and communicate standardized processes and procedures to the team and organization. Work alongside the Senior Category Manager and Director of Procurement to identify and implement process improvements.
- Support employee development by focusing on current job training and skill enhancement for future roles and responsibilities.
- Engage in sourcing activities as needed to ensure that deadlines and objectives are achieved.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Five to seven years of relevant procurement experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
