Position Title: Senior Buyer
Role Summary:
The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in leading a team of procurement professionals responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for facility maintenance services on a national scale. This position will report directly to the Senior Category Manager - Interior Procurement and will collaborate closely with Account Managers and Operations teams to ensure effective project management. Key responsibilities include overseeing high-profile maintenance accounts, managing sourcing initiatives, delegating tasks, ensuring compliance with processes, and achieving budgetary and timeline objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, execution, and communication of all sourcing projects and initiatives. Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with Operations and Account Management to identify suitable contractors, ensuring service provider contracts are established for all assigned locations. Negotiate terms and rates with strategic partners and oversee the activities of assigned Buyers. Foster strong relationships both internally and externally while participating in cross-functional meetings and coaching sessions with service providers.
- Implement and communicate standardized processes and procedures across the team and organization. Work alongside the Senior Category Manager and Director of Procurement to identify and implement process improvements.
- Support employee development through training initiatives aimed at enhancing current job performance and preparing for future roles.
- Engage in sourcing activities as needed to ensure that project deadlines and objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Five to seven years of relevant procurement experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
