We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Information Management Clerk to join our team at BronxCare Health System.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Maintain Positive Relationships: Interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, and other employees to maintain a positive public perception of BronxCare Health System.
- Contribute to Performance/Quality Improvement: Participate in data collection, analysis, and implementation of risk management and claims activities, as well as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams.
- Clerical Duties: Perform tasks related to tracking, retrieving, and reconciling medical records, as well as providing stat reports for charts not located.
- Administrative Support: Answer telephones, take and relay messages, and assist with distribution of payroll checks.
- Document Preparation: Assist in preparing records and other data for transmittal to other hospital departments.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control to ensure the integrity, completeness, and legibility of scanned patient health records.
- Messenger Duties: Pick up, sort, and distribute mail, letters, messages, packages, and records to various offices and departments.
- No experience requirements, will train on the job
- High School or GED
- Basic Computer knowledge
- Basic Scanner knowledge
