We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our shipboard team at American Cruise Lines. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for producing high-quality meals for our guests while working closely with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef to create diversified menus based on fresh ingredients.
Key Responsibilities- Work directly with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef to develop and implement menus that showcase regional and local specialties.
- Organize and manage kitchen processes to ensure efficient meal production and high-quality dishes.
- Prepare and present meals that meet the established menu choices and adhere to guests' dietary requests.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure seamless meal services.
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a full-service resort, hotel, country club, or full-service restaurant.
- Ability to work 14 hours per day, 7 days a week while onboard the ship.
- Experience cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a focus on food safety standards.
- Ability to multitask, take direction, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and complete a criminal background check.
- Travel to and from your assigned vessel, room and board, uniforms, and paid training from industry experts.
- 6 weeks working and living onboard the ship with 2 weeks of unpaid vacation.
