Key Factors to Consider:

Compensation Package: Offering a 4-year guaranteed salary along with a substantial signing bonus of $80,000 plus relocation coverage.
- $390,000 for graduating fellows
- $410,000 for experienced kidney specialists

Continuing Medical Education Support: We provide an annual reimbursement amount of $4,500 along with a technology stipend.

Investing in Your Future: Financial Benefits of 401k, 457B, and SPESP savings account - Allina will contribute additional funds to an account for physicians to utilize and withdraw from once a year.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness: Allina is a non-profit organization and qualifies for the Public Loan Forgiveness program.

Key Position Details:

Our kidney specialists are responsible for direct patient care by reviewing patients' medical histories while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. While specializing in diseases and disorders of the kidney, and conditions that impact renal function, kidney specialists at Allina provide education, consultation, or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.

Job Description:
  • Delivers specialized care for patients with kidney diseases or disorders, or conditions affecting renal function.
  • Reviews patients' medical histories while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to their health or situation.
  • Provides education, consultation, or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.
  • Collaborates with patients to enhance their health and well-being.
  • Practices thoughtfully, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
  • Documents in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope.
  • May participate in on-call rotation.
Job Requirements
  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine required and
  • Completion of a fellowship in nephrology from an approved school of medicine required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
