Position Overview:

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Minnesota is in search of a dedicated and board-certified/eligible nephrologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, focusing on an academic career path.

Practice Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a highly driven clinician with specialized training in Pediatric Nephrology.
  • This full-time role will involve clinical responsibilities at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and affiliated children's healthcare facilities.
  • Additional duties will encompass teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, engaging in clinical practice through UMPhysicians, and contributing to departmental service activities, the medical school, and the broader medical community.
  • The ideal candidate will engage in research initiatives and academic endeavors, either as a collaborator or an independent investigator, while also participating in professional development activities tailored to their career aspirations.

About Our Division:

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is recognized as one of the leading pediatric nephrology programs nationally. We operate a robust dialysis and transplant program for children facing end-stage kidney failure, and we proudly maintain the highest reported success rate for infant kidney transplants globally. Our pediatric nephrologists collaborate closely with various specialties, including pediatric urology, transplant surgery, pediatric psychology, nutrition, and social work, to deliver comprehensive care for children with kidney disorders. Our faculty members are actively involved in clinical research focusing on glomerular diseases and kidney transplantation.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited ACGME pediatric residency and nephrology fellowship training program.
  • Board eligible or certified.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining DEA certification in Minnesota.
  • Meet the credentialing and privileges criteria.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
