Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in our 30-bed emergency department, which serves a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a compact state.
  • One year of experience in emergency services or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
