Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse RN PRN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
About the RoleAs an Operating Room Registered Nurse RN PRN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of surgical specialties, including Da Vinci robotics, trauma, orthopedic, and general surgeries.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as needed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 2 years of experience as a Perioperative RN or completion of a Perioperative Nurse course
- Scrubbing or surgical assistant experience preferred
- Licensed or license eligible, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
