Emergency Room Registered Nurse RN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient vital signs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a compact license.
  • One year of experience in Emergency Services or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and CPI certification within six months of hire.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
