The DC Department of Human Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and administrative supervision to management and staff, including assigning and reviewing workloads, determining scheduling priorities, and ensuring service activities are properly time-phased to accomplish program objectives.
- Review, interpret, and report on federal and local grant funding allocations, and prepare written grants for submission.
- Design, write, evaluate, and modify policies to ensure programs are effective and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Analyze policies, government regulations, and legislation to develop new program policies and plans, and make needed revisions to existing program policies and procedures.
- Monitor progress of program delivery through standard operating procedures, performance analysis strategies, and training.
- Consult with and advise government officials, staff, civic associations, and other agencies on legislative, policy, and program issues.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
- Experience in program management, administration, and supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
The work is typically performed in a normal office setting, with flexible and limited telework options available upon position eligibility and operational needs.
