Position Overview
As a Neurodiagnostic Monitoring Specialist II, you will be responsible for conducting Long Term Video-EEG monitoring on patients utilizing both scalp and intra-cranial electrodes. This role involves operating intra-operative monitoring systems with subdural and depth electrodes, as well as performing specialized studies including Functional Brain Mapping and SPECT imaging.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute Long Term Video-EEG monitoring in accordance with established guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to conduct Functional Brain Simulation and Mapping, SPECT studies, and ECS recordings.
- Ensure all monitoring equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
- Gather clinical histories from various sources and clearly explain procedures to patients and their families.
- Analyze and prepare Video EEG records for physician interpretation, including prescreening EEG and behavioral data.
- Conduct Electrocorticography during surgical procedures to ensure proper electrode placement and functionality.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the International 10-20 system and maintain the integrity of recording systems post-implantation.

Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Electro-neuro-diagnostic Technology program or equivalent training.
- CPR BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- 2-4 years of experience as an EEG Technician, with a focus on basic EEG, Evoked Potentials, and Video-Telemetry, particularly in pediatric and intensive care settings.
- ABRET registration is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and relate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Capacity to adapt and respond calmly under pressure while problem-solving to meet individual patient needs.
