Project Manager - Electrical Construction

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at George J Hayden Inc. As a Project Manager - Electrical Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and schedules, analyzing adherence to project budget and implementing cost control measures as needed.
  • Collaborate with foremen, team leaders, and field personnel to ensure safe working conditions and effective project execution.
  • Facilitate communication with customers, suppliers, and vendors to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on electrical construction.
  • PMP certification and knowledge of BIM, estimating, and project management software (e.g., Procore) are a plus.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E is required.

Working Conditions

  • Jobsite visits may require lifting, carrying, or moving 50 pounds or more.
  • Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Special Requirements

  • Must have a current, valid Driver's License, a satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel local, in-state, and out-of-state to jobsites as needed.
  • Undergo and pass required background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and physicals.

Compensation and Benefits

The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience, ranging from $62,000 to $90,000 yearly salary.
