Electrocardiogram Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrocardiogram Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing accurate EKG rhythm interpretation and other electrocardiography functions to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate EKG rhythm interpretation and other electrocardiography functions to support the interprofessional healthcare team.
- Maintain competency in electrocardiography (EKG), monitoring/computer skills, and pulse oximetry (SpO2) as appropriate.
- Provide direct patient care by performing patient preparation for monitoring.
- Organize workload, utilizing all available work time by assisting others and performing additional tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- EKG interpretation skills.
- Prior healthcare and/or medical terminology experience preferred.
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCI) or equivalent certification within 1 year.
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
