Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardio Diagnostic Technician I to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs) and Holter monitor applications for both inpatient and outpatient exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs) and Holter monitor exams with precision and accuracy.
  • Provide care for the physical needs of patients during EKG and/or Holter exams.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members during diagnostic exams.
  • Review EKG tracings for quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure all patient care equipment is in safe working order and report any malfunctions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • None or six months of basic EKG and/or Holter monitor experience highly preferred.
  • Certified EKG Technician (NHA) or equivalent certification within 18 months.
