Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Speech Pathologist to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Speech Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work with patients from birth through 21 years of age, providing a wide range of speech, language, oral-motor and feeding evaluations and interventions.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position working on an as-needed basis between Monday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. You will be responsible for performing speech/language/swallowing evaluations and screenings, reviewing medical records and interviewing parents/caregivers to obtain pertinent health information and relevant patient histories.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform speech/language/swallowing evaluations and screenings
  • Determine evaluation goals and tailor test battery to specific needs of individual patients
  • Interpret and synthesize test results, history and functional observation to form a diagnostic impression
  • Implement a specific plan of action with measurable goals leading to improved functional outcomes
  • Select and develop intervention materials for treatment of communication and related disorders
  • Document patient contacts using chart notes, departmental and hospital-approved forms

Requirements:

A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required. A minimum of one year of experience in pediatric, hospital or rehabilitation settings is preferred. You must be licensed by the AR Board of Examiners Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Compensation and Benefits:
