The Student Services Specialist Senior in Admissions, Records, and Registration is responsible for providing high-level support to students, staff, and faculty with complex enrollment-related duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Graduation processing and transcript evaluation
- Athletic compliance and 3rd party enrollment
- Residency and special admissions
- Quality assurance and troubleshooting of software and equipment
This position requires a strong understanding of college, state, and federal rules and policies to resolve complex enrollment issues and complaints.
Essential FunctionsThe Student Services Specialist Senior will perform the following essential functions:
- 45% - Perform complex enrollment-related duties, including graduation processing, athletic compliance, and 3rd party enrollment
- 25% - Monitor quality assurance to ensure accuracy of completed transactions and coordinate admissions, records, and registration reports
- 20% - Support the Admissions and Records department by assisting with service to students, project deadlines, and department goals
- 10% - Assist with department workflow by assigning staff to alternative job functions and compiling data for supervisors
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
The following qualifications are highly desirable:
- A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Two or more years of experience working in an Admissions, Records, and Registration office at a postsecondary educational institution
- Two years of experience assisting or coordinating customer service operations
- Two years of experience researching and implementing federal, state, and institutional rules and policies
- Two years of experience using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and/or Google Sheets and/or other student record databases
- Two years of experience providing quality customer service and training
The following working conditions are applicable:
- Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required
- May be required to travel to all MCCCD locations
- May require numerous evenings or weekends
- May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
- May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
