Position Summary:


The individual selected for this role will engage in diverse environmental consultancy initiatives aimed at supporting a dynamic industrial clientele, with a primary focus on the oil and gas sector.

This role necessitates exceptional analytical skills and effective communication to devise solutions that align with client goals, particularly concerning air program regulatory standards.

Responsibilities may encompass compliance support, on-site assistance at client locations, data management in regulatory and emissions tracking platforms, technical assessments, solution formulation, report composition, regulatory discussions, and long-term engagements within the oil and gas domain.

In executing these responsibilities, the individual will collaborate with internal project teams, industry stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting mass balance assessments
- Compiling emission inventories
- Diagnosing and optimizing new or existing systems
- Preparing air quality permit applications and associated documentation
- Offering regulatory guidance
- On-site client engagement may necessitate travel.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or environmental engineering or a related field
- Internship or relevant professional experience in industry, an environmental agency, or consultancy
- Strong intrinsic motivation with a focus on client service and a desire to advance in environmental consulting
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with project teams, regulators, and clients
- Robust technical and analytical skills, emphasizing attention to detail and thoroughness
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet applications
- Willingness to travel and adapt personal schedules to meet project demands
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr Engineering Company.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of relevant professional experience in industry, an environmental agency, or consultancy
- Familiarity with regulations and environmental permitting processes
- High proficiency in data systems and large data analysis
- Project management skills
- Proven success in fostering collaborative relationships across diverse teams
- Ability to cultivate client relationships and business opportunities
- A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position, allowing for a combination of office and remote work.

Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this position is $65,000–$80,000/year. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, and other relevant factors. Employees in this role may also qualify for a discretionary cash bonus.
