Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated full-time Environmental Project Specialist with 0-5 years of practical experience in environmental due diligence, particularly in commercial real estate projects. The role involves conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. Candidates should be prepared to work in various locations as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to project sites, documenting observations and capturing photographic evidence (up to 70% travel required)
  • Conduct interviews through various communication methods
  • Request and analyze records from government databases
  • Perform reviews of regulatory agency files
  • Examine historical data, including topographic maps and city directories
  • Prepare standardized reports based on collected information
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control to meet management and client expectations
  • Address feedback and submit reports within established deadlines
  • Conduct fieldwork to gather samples from potentially contaminated subsurface media and indoor air
  • Evaluate analytical data against applicable regulatory standards

  • Familiarity with NEPA Assessments

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Licensed Asbestos Inspector
  • Management experience
  • Mold assessment expertise
  • Experience with Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)
  • Knowledge of Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
  • Experience with Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
  • Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP)
  • Certification as an Environmental Professional (EP)

Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, or related fields is required.

The salary range for this position is an estimate. The final offer will be determined by the company based on various business considerations, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skill set, geographic location, and current market conditions.
