Role Summary:
The IT Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in aligning technological solutions with business objectives, primarily collaborating with senior management. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of available technologies, tools, and existing system designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various functional teams within the IT department to clarify business requirements and contribute to the development of long-term system strategies.
- Provide strategic consultancy to clients in defining business processes and identifying enabling technologies based on their needs.
- Research and apply technological advancements to enhance business processes, staying informed about industry trends and competitor practices.
- Conduct structured interviews to assess immediate needs, consult with technical experts, and develop alternative technical solutions while advising on options, risks, and impacts.
- Work closely with other IT areas to keep track of project statuses and communicate progress to management.
- Guide and motivate the technical team to foster a collaborative environment that meets operational objectives.
- Manage specialized systems configurations effectively.
- Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and divisional policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in IT or a related business field is preferred.
- Consideration for Associate-level candidates with substantial experience.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience managing client areas across multiple countries and divisions.
- Leadership experience with offshore and onsite teams from service partners.
- Strong background in SAP ERP, particularly in SAP-SCM, SAP-PTP, SAP-APO, and SAP-Ariba.
- Familiarity with SAP SRM is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users and collaborate with offshore teams.
- Accountable for comprehensive support activities, including performance reporting and service-level management.
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas in simple terms.
- Leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Proficient in problem determination and resolution.
- Understanding of process costs and service provider collaboration to ensure operational effectiveness.
