Compensation: Starting at $16.11, commensurate with experience
Supervision: None

Primary Responsibilities:
The primary objective of this role is to assist the Teacher in delivering exceptional educational services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in accordance with established performance standards and program goals. This includes supporting daily classroom operations and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all children.
Key Duties:
- Maintain constant supervision of children, ensuring appropriate ratios and group sizes.
- Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for children, ensuring they are released only to authorized individuals.
- Conduct regular cleaning and sanitization of classrooms and materials in line with health and safety policies.
- Perform daily safety checks of the classroom and playground as assigned.
- Support the Teacher in providing responsive care and effective teaching practices.
- Assist in implementing The Creative Curriculum to deliver quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Incorporate physical activity into daily lesson plans and utilize available resources effectively.
- Ensure learning environments are equipped with age-appropriate and culturally responsive materials.
- Employ positive guidance strategies to foster social-emotional development.
- Facilitate family-style meal service, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Track attendance and follow up on program attendance procedures.
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments as needed.
- Perform Teacher duties in their absence.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Support the delivery of services to children with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) or Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
- Engage with families to share information about their child's activities and behaviors.
- Encourage parent involvement in classroom activities and events.
- Adhere to documentation requirements set by federal, state, and program guidelines.
- Participate in team communication to enhance service delivery and problem-solving.
- Assist in outreach and recruitment efforts by communicating program eligibility and enrollment practices.
- Provide supervision and support to parents, volunteers, and practicum students.
- Offer constructive feedback to support professional development.

Qualifications:
Education:
- AA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Preferred experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift items up to 51 pounds.
- Work involves both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Regular walking, standing, and physical engagement with children.
Other Requirements:
- Valid Oregon Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance required.
- Must maintain a drug-free workplace.
