Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our developmental behavioral pediatric care team in Kennebunk, Maine. This individual will provide face-to-face evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for children and teens with developmental and behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive developmental and behavioral evaluations for patients in an outpatient setting.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, to address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, psychometrists, and nurses to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes for patients.
- Counsel patients and their families on healthy behaviors, education advocacy, and other aspects of care.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Masters degree in nursing with advanced knowledge of theory and practice.
- Current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing, qualified to do psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
- Prior experience working with children and teens with developmental and behavioral challenges is essential.
- A strong understanding of child development, behavior, and mental health principles is required.
Compensation and Benefits
